Steven is available for private chess lessons by appointment. Lessons are available in-person or online via Zoom.

Private chess lessons provide interested students with one-on-one time with Coach Steven, who is bilingual in English and Spanish. Personalized study and training programs are developed to suit each student’s unique skills and needs.

Steven is happy to meet at your home, a local business such as Panera Bread or Barnes & Noble, or online via Zoom.

Private In-Person Lesson: $75/hour
Online Private Lesson: $50/45 minutes, $60/hour, $85/1.5 hours

Group lessons

Steven offers group lessons by appointment, which are available in-person or online as well.

This summer, Steven will also be offering week-long online group sessions from 3-4:30pm Monday-Friday on the following weeks: June 1-5, June 22-26, July 13-17, and July 27-31. Each session will cover strategy, tactics, famous games, puzzles, and live games.

Private Group Lesson: Rates vary according to size of group, please call or email for pricing.
Online Group Sessions (1 week, 1.5 hours per day): $25/day, $100/week

camps & tournaments

Summer Camp Registration

Each year, Steven hosts chess summer camps that are 1 week in duration. Participants can choose to attend the full week or select days.

Steven is also an USCF tournament director. Hire Steven to run a chess tournament for you! Chess boards as well as player awards can be provided.
